Travel and Parking

York Art Gallery is accessible by train and by bus.

It takes 10 to 15 minutes to walk to the York Art Gallery from York Railway Station. York Art Gallery is in Exhibition Square, five minutes’ from York Minster and opposite Bootham Bar.

For those wanting to travel by coach, the nearest coach parking to the gallery is Union Terrace Car Park. Coaches can also drop off and pick up passengers at designated rendezvous points. You can find more information on the City of York Council website.

Groups can either pay on the day via cash or card or pay via invoice once the visit has taken place.
