York Gallery Special Preview Celebration

York Museums Trust invites you to a one off opportunity to be amongst the first to explore York Art Gallery following it’s £8 million transformation.
Ticket price £20 to include a complimentary glass of Prosecco and nibbles and the evening will feature live music. There will also be a cash bar available.
Tickets must be purchased by Friday 24 July.

A spectacular addition to the European Museum and Gallery world!
York Art Gallery -with its newly installed Centre of Ceramic Art display, rooting British Studio ceramics of the 20th/21st centuries in ceramic traditions stretching back through thousands of years- is a Breathtaking Experience. With its wonderful parade of ceramic works, its playful juxtapositions of Old and New, the new gallery displays over 3000 ceramics (from its vast repository of over 12,000) showing off the ceramic skill and genius of potters leaving no other trace of their name alongside those whose names we know.
We all owe Janet Barnes and her YMT team a huge vote of thanks for this wonderful creation. May it prosper!
