York Art Gallery in London
Some of our finest paintings were displayed at the National Gallery and Tate Britain in London while our gallery was being refurbished here in York.
Mademoiselle Rachel by York’s own William Etty was at the National Gallery. Albert Joseph Moore’s painting A Venus will be included in new displays of British Art at Tate Britain, and the National Gallery will also be showing Monsignor Agucchi, Man with a Book by Parmigianino and Still Life with Fish and Cat by Alexander Adriaenssen.
