Featuring works of art from the Arts Council Collection and York Art Gallery, this exhibition looks at some of the artists working in and around St Ives, Cornwall, from the 1930's until the 1960's. During this period, it was seen as a centre for the avant garde - innovative new art and art forms -  in Britain.

It will include work by Barbara Hepworth, Ben Nicholson, Wilhelmina Barns-Graham, Terry Frost, Roger Hilton, Alfred Wallis and Patrick Heron.
