Café

Our cafe serves a range of sandwiches, home-made cakes, soup, snacks and hot and cold drinks.

During fine weather, cafe customers can sit outside the gallery in Exhibition Square, with beautiful views of the city walls and York Minster.

Opening hours are between 10am and 4.30pm and there are highchairs available for children and full access for disabled visitors.

What our visitors think

My three-and-a-half year old daughter and I spent a lovely afternoon at the gallery last week and particularly enjoyed our lunch there. We decided to make our own work of art from the kids' lunch box. Not only are the gallery's exhibits inspiring, the cafe too!
